We Are Ready !!!!

We know that parents are stressed and worried...Schools are working hard to go through the very fluid instructions from the state.  Everyone is working hard to make sure that you and your families are safe.  Even though we cannot 100% guarantee that the virus will not be around.  We can do everything humanly possible to make sure the vehicles your student(s) ride in are cleaned and sanitized daily.  We have listed just some of the procedures and policies that have been added to help achieve these goals.  

Smiley has always made the safety of the children in our community our number one priority.  We have always disinfected our vans on a regular basis, however we are ramping up even stricter sanitation & disinfection protocols.  We added a completely new department that is dedicated  to implementing  these procedures.  Every vehicle is cleaned daily with anti-viral solutions.  Every surface within the vehicles  are wiped down after each route.  

Smiley has already provided hand sanitizers and facial tissues in every vehicle.  We will continue to do this.  Our Drivers will be wearing masks ( as mandated by the counties). We will be following TEA guidelines as well. Every employee will have their temp taken  prior to entering the building.  

Smiley Transportation has increased its staff to cover the added sanitizing requirements. As well as,  adding extra back-up driving positions to help cover any absences as the need arises. Our goal is to continue services as smoothly as possible.

Every employee is CPR, First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens certified.  We have increased those certifications by attending OSHA certified classes (including covid19 classes).  We continue to attend our yearly defensive driving classes and hands-on driving classes.  We have also added a driving simulator class engineered just for Smiley Transportation.
